The Bauer SLT fly reels come in three new models: 7/8/9, 9/10/11, and 11/12+ and clearly have an enormous amount of ‘Wow Factor,’ built to revolutionize functionality, durability and performance when fighting the world’s most power fish. They offer a cutting-edge debris-tight and water-tight drag package that delivers a smooth and intuitive adjustment range with every click of the drag knob. With over four years of prototyping, the SLT has already been tested extensively on tarpon, GTs, permit, bonefish, snook, arapaima, tuna, salmon, and steelhead. They are powerful, smooth, beautiful and virtually indestructible.

NEW DRAG STACK
The newly designed drag system is powered by a cutting-edge, alternating stainless steel and carbon disc stack, that effectively disperses heat and facilitates ultra-smooth engagement when fighting the world’s most powerful fish. An oversized low-durometer rubber O- ring, provides incredible consistency throughout the drag adjustment range, allowing for even resistance with every click of the drag knob.
SUPER SMOOTH CLUTCH
The SLT’s drag system is a marvel of function, performance, and simplicity. Utilizing a threaded hub for easy on/off access to the drag system, the re-designed clutch is labeled for left/right hand retrieve, providing anglers with fast and easy change, without the use of any tools. All internal componentry has been made larger for easy handling, tighter tolerances, and is made to take higher heat and torque that come with fishing for tarpon, giant trevally, and arapaima among others.
INCREDIBLE DURABILITY
Featuring a fully water and debris sealed system, hardcore anglers can rest easy knowing the SLT can withstand days of saltwater, mud, sand, and dirt without fail. All SLT internal parts are Type II anodized with 6061aluminum, 7075 aluminum, and stainless steel.
